The Project Intention was to extend Concepcion's main commercial and cultural axis to the Biobio riverside through a new proposed High speed rail station that acts as a controlled patch of urban fabric allowing new forms of civic interaction and public space.

The patch zone was defined by converging the grids of Concepcion's colonial centre and an informal settlement either side of the existing rail line.
